My Blog Post - Katie Murphy

   Hi everyone! My name is Katie Murphy and I get to write the blog post this week! :) I'm a student leader at Crossroads - Connections Coordinator. That means I get to make connections with the people that come, keep everyone up to date with events, make sure everyone feels welcome, and make sure the presence of God is felt not only within our community, but by everyone I can possibly reach. Of course a lot of those things are the jobs of all the student leaders at Crossroads, and each and every one of them do an amazing job. This week, I was really reminded of why we do what we do at Crossroads and I'd like to share that with all of you. Crossroads, and church in general, is a place for everyone. The New Face of Campus Cupboard

Hey Everyone! I'm Wes Huntington, and welcome to the Crossroads Blog.  It's 2016, and it's time to resume writing the blog every week.  Without further ado, l​et's get into the meat and potatoes of the blog post for this week, which is about the Campus Cupboard. For those of you who do not know what the Campus Cupboard is, it is our food shelf that is located in the basement of the main Crossroads building. College students throughout the Mankato area can come once a week to grab a bag of food. All they have to do is show a valid Student ID card from any of the three colleges in the greater Mankato area.  As of this past Fall Semester, we are a satellite food bank for Second Harvest Heartland, one of the biggest food pantries in the state of Minnesota.  So far this semester, the Campus Cupboard has only been open from 11-3 on Tuesdays. Starting this week, I will be ​opening up and running the Campus Cupboard on my own on Wednesdays and Th...
