Hey
everybody! My name is Jaycee Nelson. Right now I am a senior at MSU earning my
accounting degree. I first went to Crossroads in the fall of 2014 and have
loved going there ever since and now, I am hoping to be one of the new leaders
for next year. I hope to provide everyone with a welcoming experience, much
like I received my first time at Crossroads.
Now I would like
share with you my favorite Bible verse and why I have come to love it so much.
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or
terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never
leave you nor forsake you.” (Deuteronomy 31:6) This verse has spoke to me more
over the past few months and what I have relied on. Back in December, I started
having issues with my eye, which was very scary at first, as I lost vision.
Long story short, I spent a lot of time at different Doctors getting numerous
tests done. I found out I needed surgery to repair a detached retina. Now,
never having any type of surgery before, that news was a little scary, but, I
knew I was in God’s hands and he wouldn’t give me anything I couldn’t handle. I
went into the surgery feeling brave and courageous and everything turned out
just fine for me as I had God on my side.
It
is always reassuring you can have someone to give all your worries to, whether
it be an upcoming test you’re afraid you won’t pass, trouble finding a job, a
health emergency or anything you need help with. Just remember He is always
there listening if you need any help getting through a tough time and He can
help you through it. He will never leave you or forsake you, and that is one of
the greatest things anyone could do for you.
